Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve which starts in lower back and travels down to hips, buttock and down one leg. Sciatica usually occurs from a herniated disk, bone spur or spinal stenosis. Sciatica can often be treated with epidural steroid injections.
